Salone del Mobile 2026 | Art & Play

In our commitment to leaving a mark on visitors’ memory, we’ve returned to Milan with an updated version of the installation presented in 2025. A space where play, sophistication, and the art of living merge. An island within the Salone itself. A permeable, dreamlike volume that defines its own environment while remaining connected to the surrounding context. A unique immersive setting that, through its inflatable structure, created emotion and engaged the attendant senses.

In this space, visitors discovered The Art of Play through a unique experience where game tables and furniture become volumes that enter into dialogue with ephemeral architecture. A place where the value of the precise gesture, honest materials, and the harmony between object and space come alive. Where play rises to the level of art and becomes a universal language that brings us together.

At the core of this proposal, two new launches shaped the brand’s narrative for this edition. AL13, the pool table designed by NICHETTO®, Luca Nichetto Studio, and Franc, the new armchair created by Antoni Pallejà Office. These pieces represent two distinct approaches to a shared idea: exploring the relationship between material, form and use through a clear and precise language. Two pieces that not only expand the collection, but also define the tone of our presence in Milan.

AL13

AL13 marks the first collaboration between RS Barcelona and NICHETTO®, as well as the designer’s first foray into the world of game tables. The project began with an exploration of different materials and processes, evolving into a rigorous industrial resolution.

In the periodic table of elements, Al and 13 represent the symbol and atomic number of aluminum, the defining material of AL13. Its silhouette is a sculptural volume suspended on two monolithic legs. Sinuous curves unfold in a seamless flow. An aluminum shell, developed through die casting and extrusion, envelops the playing surface, while a soft leather-upholstered profile traces the perimeter in a sublime gesture. A precise detail that reveals its quiet beauty and inherent nobility.

AL13 is a piece where engineering, material, and form converge to create a bold and elegant presence. A design in which Lucca Nichetto, expresses his creative universe, elevating the game of billiards into a work of art—where every match becomes a ritual.

Franc 

Franc armchair, designed by Antoni Pallejà Office, is born from a simple gesture. A line that curves until it finds its genuine form. Its formal language moves away from refinement to work through tension. It may seem imperfect, unfinished. Yet this is precisely where its identity resides.

Cleanly cut lines. Abrupt folds. Matter bends with restrained precision, transforming the coldness of aluminum into a promise of calm and comfort. Its honesty defines it. Within that apparent fragmentation, it finds its formal elegance and its defiant beauty. Firm and resilient, the aluminum structure supports the seat with determination, adapting to the body with a subtle flex.

Franc finds its strength in sincerity: bold lines, a deliberate gesture, a simple form, and raw materials. With leather details on the seat and backrest, it inhabits new territories of contrast and tension. The cold essence of aluminum softens when it meets the warmth of leather, inviting a seat that embraces. Sitting in Franc reveals that beauty does not always arrive polished. Design moves us precisely when it shows its seams. When it exposes, without artifice, its deepest and most rugged essence. Its frankness.

Alongside AL13 and Franc, a selection of its most representative designs was displayed. The latest addition to the Plec collection (Plec Shelving) continues to develop its architectural language through the fold. The Seu benches introduce a more everyday scale, linked to rest and shared time. And its game tables, foosball tables and ping-pong tables such as You and Me Monochrome, and Track shuffleboard remain central to The Art of Play universe.

The 2026 Salone stand, designed by Antoni Pallejà Office, stands once again as an innovative statement, reflecting our unwavering commitment to play.
