Play isn’t just for kids; it’s an attitude, an expression of optimism, a way of living and dealing with life. That’s what we’ve been doing for over fifteen years at RS Barcelona. Playing unabashedly. Making every day a new game. Daring to play in settings where it wasn’t thought appropriate to do so. Breaking the rules and reinterpreting convention.

This magazine is an honest tribute to play. Its purpose is none other than to champion the power of play and its great ability to change and transform spaces, moods and even lives. To turn everyday life into magic; into unique and authentic experiences.

We approach play from its multiple facets, we delve into its essence and its more scientific basis as a source of wellbeing, and we talk with designers and architects about how play involves and sneaks into their creative processes and their way of understanding design. Because play is not confined to its most ludic and childish aspects. It is present in all ages and in each spheres of our lives.

In this page we claim to recover the illusion and start playing again as when we were a kids. It might be the most important job of our lives.
